Coming
Out Of The “Broom” Closet
For witches, Wiccans, and pagans of all stripes, this talk addresses
the ups and downs of revealing your magickal life and beliefs to
friends and family. Drawing from her personal experiences and interviews
with others who have done the same, Alexandria provides a step-by-step
way to talk with others about your beliefs by answering the following
questions. Why should I come out of the broom closet? Is now the
time? Is it best to remain silent? Who should I tell? When are the
best and worst times to bring up the subject. What are the best
locations for this delicate discussion? How should I approach the
subject for the least amount of shock value possible? What are some
questions and concerns that are typically voiced by loved ones?
A question and answer session will follow the talk.
Seminar includes handouts and attendees are encouraged to share
their concerns with the group. There is no limit to the seminar
size. Attendees should bring pencil and paper.
Understanding
Empathy
Have you ever wondered what empathy is really all about? Is it truly
possible to feel another feelings? Yes it is and this seminar provides
you with a deeper understanding of empathy in all its forms. This
talk answers a wide variety of questions. How empathy can be misdiagnosed
as a number of mental and emotional problems. Recognizing empathy
in children and helping them understand and control it. The different
types of empathy. How to differentiate between your feelings and
the feelings of those around you. How feelings can manifest as physical
symptoms. Storing feelings. How projective empathy is controlled
and used. The ethics of both projective and receptive empathy. And
much more. A discussion period follows the talk.
Seminar includes handouts and attendees are encouraged to share
their empathy stories with the group. There is no limit to the seminar
size. Attendees should bring pencil and paper.
Wiccan
Feng Shui
Based upon ancient knowledge of the rhythms of the earth and the
Bagua (or great circle of life), this comprehensive workshop teaches
the attendee how to map out Bagua areas in the home and organize
each room to harmonize with natural forces in order to promote health,
prosperity, productivity, and well-being.
Ideas are provided for rituals, altars, and enhancements to promote
Chi, or flow of energy, within every room and throughout the house.
From painting a wall to dusting a houseplant, from situating a home
office to consecrating a Wealth and Prosperity area, here are easy
methods of improving life through design, decoration, and placement.
Class includes handouts and attendees are encouraged to share their
own ideas and Feng Shui challenges with the group. There is no limit
to the class size. Attendees should bring pencil, paper, and, if
possible, a floor plan (oriented to the north) of their home or
workplace.
Creating
Personal Rituals
We all have rituals in our lives; some religious, some not. Most
religious rituals follow a set pattern making them easy to modify;
changing a few words in a wedding ceremony, for instance. In this
workshop attendees will discover they don’t have to wait for
major milestones to show appreciation for the joy of living. Alexandria
teaches a class that shows there is reason to celebrate with down-to-earth
rituals that bring more meaning into everyday life.
Presented in a personal and interactive way, Alexandria takes you
step by step through the process of creating rituals that celebrate
home, health, work, friends, children, and school. At a time when
everyone is looking to find deeper meaning in life, these small
ceremonies will help you appreciate the beauty in small events like
the first snowfall, a new friendship, a new lover, a child’s
first tooth, a new job, a pregnancy, or the return to school.
Class includes handouts and attendees are encouraged to share their
own ideas with the group. Due to the personal nature of the work,
class size is limited to twenty. Attendees should bring pencil,
paper, and an idea of a special event that they want a ritual created
for.
